Job Title: Sales Representative – Microsoft Service Provider

 

Location: Remote

Job Type: Full-time

Overview: R seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team at [Company Name], a leading Microsoft Service Provider. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and promoting Microsoft cloud solutions, such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Defender. You will work closely with both the sales and technical teams to deliver tailored IT solutions that help clients streamline operations, improve security, and maximize productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and target potential clients, building a strong pipeline of opportunities in the Microsoft technology space.
  • Consultative Sales: Engage with prospects to understand their business needs and recommend Microsoft-based solutions that address challenges and drive value.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain deep knowledge of Microsoft products and services, including Azure, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud, to provide accurate product recommendations.
  • Lead Generation & Qualification: Utilize various channels (cold calling, networking, online platforms, etc.) to generate qualified leads and maintain an active sales funnel.
  • Client Presentations: Present Microsoft solutions to C-suite executives, IT managers, and other decision-makers, effectively articulating the benefits and value of the offerings.
  • Sales Process Management: Lead the end-to-end sales process from initial contact to contract signing, including negotiating terms, pricing, and closing deals.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside the technical and support teams to ensure smooth implementation and ongoing customer satisfaction.
  • Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and changes in the Microsoft product landscape to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, with a focus on IT solutions, cloud technologies, or managed services (experience with Microsoft products is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and other Microsoft cloud-based services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tailor solutions to meet client needs.
  • A technical understanding of cloud infrastructure, security, and digital transformation solutions is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Architecture Design: Design end-to-end Azure cloud solutions that align with client requirements, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance. Develop and implement architectures for compute, storage, networking, and security.

  • Azure Services Expertise: Leverage a deep understanding of Azure services like Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Functions, Azure Active Directory, Azure DevOps, and more to architect solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
  • Cloud Migration: Oversee the migration of on-premises workloads to Azure, ensuring minimal disruption and a smooth transition to the cloud.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure all cloud solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
  • Cost Optimization: Design solutions that are cost-effective, leveraging Azure’s pricing models and tools to optimize cloud infrastructure spending.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain detailed architecture diagrams, deployment plans, and technical documentation to support the delivery of cloud solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure features, tools, and best practices. Continuously refine and improve architectures based on evolving technology and client needs.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in designing and implementing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong understanding of Azure services such as Azure compute, networking, storage, security, monitoring, and serverless computing.
  • Experience with cloud migration strategies, hybrid cloud solutions, and multicloud architectures.
  • Expertise in designing secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud environments.
  • Proficient in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates, as well as Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of security, compliance, and governance in the cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory, identity management, and role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong experience with cloud cost management and optimization strategies in Azure.
  • Certification in Azure (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) is highly preferred.
  • A background in IT infrastructure, system administration, or software development is a plus.

  • Identity & Access Management: Configure and manage cloud identity and access management (IAM) policies, ensuring secure access controls, role-based access, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) are properly enforced.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure cloud security practices comply with industry regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI-DSS) by implementing monitoring, auditing, and reporting frameworks.
  • Security Automation: Develop and implement automated security processes to improve efficiency and consistency, such as automating security monitoring, patch management, and incident response.
  • Incident Response & Forensics: Lead cloud security incident investigations, conduct forensic analysis, and develop incident response plans to mitigate future security incidents.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cloud architects, engineers, and DevOps teams to ensure security is embedded into the cloud development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
  • Security Best Practices: Educate and advise teams on cloud security best practices, including encryption, secure coding, and secure network configuration.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and penetration testing of cloud-based systems to identify potential weaknesses and ensure continuous security improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in cloud security engineering, with expertise in securing cloud environments (Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security tools and services, such as Azure Security Center, AWS Security Hub, GCP Security Command Center, and third-party security solutions.
  • Familiarity with cloud security frameworks, such as the CIS Benchmarks, NIST, and ISO 27001.
  • Experience with identity and access management (IAM) principles, including role-based access control (RBAC), least privilege, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and encryption technologies within a cloud environment.
  • Hands-on experience with security automation tools, scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.), and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience in performing vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and implementing security monitoring.
  • Strong understanding of cloud compliance standards and frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
  • Certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, or similar are highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues in cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
